In addition to Chalk Mineral Paint, Crackle can be used to create an aged, cracked effect on furniture. As the paint dries, the crackling process begins, adding character and a unique texture. Apply Crackle on the corners for a subtle touch or cover the entire piece for a bold, crackled look. Elevate your furniture projects with the combination of Chalk Mineral Paint and Crackle to achieve stunning and aged finishes.

Apply one coat of Dixie Belle Paint in the color of your choice. If natural wood is desired, apply one coat Clear Coat and let dry completely.

Stir the Crackle and apply. Do not thin the crackle medium. The thicker the application, the larger the cracks. Use a cross-hatch brush stroke to create erratic and wide cracks.

Do not back brush; this will disturb the cracking process. Allow Crackle to dry completely anywhere from 30 minutes to overnight.

Apply a top coat of any Dixie Belle Paint color. The cracking process begins as the paint dries. Let dry completely for 24 hours.
