MACS MUD CLAY STUDIO WHITE

Studio White by Macs Mud.

A smooth vitreous (Cone 6) clay that fires to an off-white colour. Made from six different clays to provide a range of particle sizes, this imparts excellent plasticity, workability and greenware strength. A versatile clay that is suitable for throwing all sorts of functional forms including tableware.

Best application: Good all purpose clay.

– Bisque: 1000 degrees Celsius
– Glaze: 1150 – 1280 degrees Celsius
– Shrinkage: 6% wet to dry, 9% at 1150, 10% at 1180, 11% at 1220
– Water absorption: 4% at 1150, 3% at 1180, <1% at 1220
